MAX League of Nations – Decks and Lineups (Week 3)

by NPH Disco and NPH Pasca

One of the most interesting tournaments going on this season in Hearthstone esports is MAX League of Nations, a series in which 72 of Europe’s best players, including several Grandmasters, represent their country in Last Hero Standing best-of-three format.

The matches are streamed every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday on MAX Team’s Twitch channel. The players are allowed to submit new decks each week.

This article features a breakdown of every archetype played in every lineup for the week, highlights of some of the most interesting ones, and the links to get deck codes for all of them.

Now that the players have had more time to test post nerf decks, they are adopting Control Priest, Rush Warrior and Lifesteal Demon Hunter as the meta defining decks.

Metagame breakdown

Featured lineups

Team Belgium

Maverick, SaucisseSwan and Sloug

These seem to be considered the best decks at the moment. Rush Warrior is a recent discovery but it has very few bad matchups.

Team Greece

Avelline, Cursed and Tholwmenos

Team Greece is going for the aggro strategy. The secretless Paladin has proven to be a high win rate deck in Qualifiers this past weekend.

Team Serbia

Brazuka, Blankieh and Dimi

This one is very surprising. The Serbians are not the only ones to believe in Secret Rogue, but they are the only ones who brought Celestial Druid.
